Redirect map builder
Paste your old and new URLs and get ready-to-use 301 redirect rules — with checks for chains, loops and pages dumped on the home page. Nothing you enter is saved.
Checks
- 1 redirect pointed at another old URL (a chain). The output sends each straight to its final destination.
- 1 old URL has no destination and will return 404 — fine only if those pages are truly gone.
5 redirects
/services/roof-repair /roof-repair 301 /about-us.html /about 301 /blog/2019/storm-tips /guides/storm-damage 301 /old-specials / 301 /roof-repair-omaha /roof-repair 301
How it works
- Each line is an old URL and its new URL. Full addresses on your old domain become paths; chains (old → old → new) are collapsed so every redirect goes straight to its final page.
- Output: a Cloudflare Pages or Netlify _redirects file, Apache RedirectMatch rules (exact matches), or Nginx location blocks — all permanent (301).
Using it well
Send each old page to its closest new match, keep the redirects for at least a year, and let truly retired pages return 404 rather than redirecting everything to the home page. Test a sample after launch.
